Do you know YOU?
Since all things were created by God and for his purpose and yes YOU were also created by God. So he knows more about you then you may pretend to know. You may know someone who thinks that they have the best of everything right down to their out of shape body. They even try to tell you how to be a better you; yet they know nothing about your life style. Did you know that someone who always says God knows my heart forgets that, He knows the intent as well. I have a question why do we often feel we can hide from God? We even know he is watching and listening to us every day. We go around with a nasty better than you attitude and to think some of us attend church somewhere.
Excuse me while I point this out: since you want to think you know it all and are better than everyone you come in contact with. Are you one of the reasons people stop coming to church or even run from you when they see you coming? Are you so controlling that you are the only one holding a conversation and adding the other person's name from time to time; only silencing your friend/or family member. Meaning they really do not get to talk for themselves but you tell them what they want to do and it has to be with you. Question I have: who died and made you the guardian over someone else's life?
Well let me help you here, have you heard of pride? Pride is an inwardly directed emotion that carries two meanings. With a negative connotation pride refers to inflated sense of one's personal status or accomplishments, often used synonymously with hubris {Pride Wikipedia}. How about this bible verse talking about pride. Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before the fall. Proverbs 16:18. Oh wait lets check that word haughty. Someone who is haughty is arrogant and full of pride. When you're haughty, you have a big attitude and act like you're better than other people. A haughty person acts superior and looks down on others. Haughty people are disdainful, overbearing, prideful, swaggering and obnoxious. {haughty-Dictionary /Definition:Vocabulary.com}. Can this person run people away from them?
Broken Spirit- "My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise." The meaning of this is connected with the verse just before it. Verse 16 says, You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it, you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings." David is stating that there is nothing we can offer God to appease Him when we have sinned. More animal sacrifices were not what God was looking for. David is saying in Psalm 51 that God wants more than religious activity that is without a sincere, repentance heart. So which heart do you have?
Looking into your own mirror who do you say you are? Everyone can use a change, what would you change? God is calling for us to be a better us in Him. The bible even says we can not serve two masters for we will love one and hate the other. Yes we can serve ourselves while faking to serve God. Have you ever said "I can pray better, preach better, teach better, sing better, usher better and more"?
In my closing God does know your heart with full intent there of.
